What you will learn
In the expEARience workshop you will:
- Learn about Active Listening: How to listen when you play and compose music.
- Participate in activities to expEARience and better understand our methodology.
- Learn about ‘thEARy’, which will help you to reconnect your theory knowledge with the sound.
The workshop is designed for musicians, students, listeners and passionate people, who want to enhance their understanding of music and improve their musical skills.
You don’t need to know how to play an instrument and there is no proficiency required. The only requirement is to bring your ears 🙂 and a basic understanding of music terminology.

Part 1 (20 min approx)
Introduction to the concept of expEARience

Participants present short excerpts of tracks that particularly inspired – or puzzled – them, followed by group discussion.
Part 2 (40 min approx)
Active Listening: Visual vs Auditory (including music examples)
PART 2 (20 MIN APPROX)
Mirko: We need to learn as much as we can about anything related to the instrument and how to transfer what we hear on the instrument.
Part 3 (40 min approx)
Group Activities and exercises (listening, playing/singing). Topics: Rhythm and Intervals.
PART 3 (20 MIN APPROX)
Niko: My ‘Light Bulb Moments’ and other deep learning expEARiences; with listening examples.
Part 4 (20 min approx)
Recap of the topics covered so far; Q&A; preparation and tasks for next day
